Emilcin and the Farmer's Monument

On 10 May 1978 a farmer named Jan Wolski was driving a hay cart along a road by this village in the Lublin region when, by his account, he picked up two short beings in tight-fitting suits who sat down beside him. After a while they led him to a white craft hanging over a field, lifted him inside, examined him and let him go. Wolski was illiterate, made nothing from the story, and told it the same way until his death. Local authorities and Polish investigators looked into it; marks were found in the ground. In 2005 a stone monument with an account of the event was put up in the field — the second such in Europe after the Swedish one.
